Dragonflies (Odonata) are insects that act as bioindicators of environmental quality. The Batang Kuranji River area is located near an important river flow and is part of a tourist attraction and a source of livelihood for local residents, with varying habitat conditions. The natural habitat of the unconcreted river is still maintained, while rice fields, settlements, and concrete rivers experience disturbances due to human activities. The method used in this study was a modified Visual Encounter Survey (VES) with a 20x10m plot. Collection time was carried out in the morning at 09.00–12.00 WIB and in the afternoon at 14.00–17.00 WIB. The results showed 81 dragonfly individuals consisting of 8 species, 7 genera, and 3 families. The rice field habitat had the highest number of species of 6 species, followed by unconcreted rivers with 5 species, concrete rivers with 4 species, and settlements with 5 species.
